VoiceWise is an innovative startup and spin-off of the University of Rome Tor Vergata, specialized in voice analysis through artificial intelligence (AI) and Signal Processing. Our vision is to democratize voice analysis for remote healthcare.
Voicewise was born in 2019 as a university startup with the joint efforts of the University of Rome Tor Vergata and Cloudwise S.r.l. The aim was to combine cutting-edge research in the field of voice analysis/AI to industry-grade digital solutions.
The Voice4Health solution is a voice-based telemedicine platform designed to support doctors and patients in pre-diagnosis and monitoring of various pathologies, including Parkinson's Disease.
Using simple voice recordings from smartphones, our proprietary algorithms analyze thousands of vocal parameters to identify objective and measurable markers (vocal biomarkers) associated with the disease. This non-invasive, economical and accessible approach enables predictions (and therefore early diagnosis) and constant therapy monitoring, improving disease management.
Mindwise is the medical platform for analysis and clinical support in early identification of psychiatric and personality disorders that integrates voice analysis, relational analysis and medical protocol (psychological and psychotherapeutic field) with a semantic-relational engine trained for conversational analysis (chat, email).
The study of Parkinson's disease marked the birth of Voicewise: it is one of the most widespread neurodegenerative pathologies in the world, difficult to treat, whose diagnosis is still performed in a pseudo-empirical manner and, generally, with critical time delays.
Considering that Parkinson's has detectable effects on a subject's voice, and that prodromal manifestations include a change in phonation, it is possible to identify warning signs of the disease or its progress from voice analysis of a subject. The Voice4Health APP was registered in Italy with ID 2866522 in September 2025 as a class II medical device according to EU Reg. 2017/745.
The Voice4Health solution is a complete platform that offers decision support to doctors and self-assessment tools to patients.
Through a mobile app (iOS/Android) or web portal, the user performs predefined vocal tasks. The voice is analyzed in real-time in our cloud system, which uses advanced AI and Machine Learning algorithms to process over 6,300 vocal parameters.
The Mindwise brand identifies two types of complementary products for mental health:
Medical platform for analysis and clinical support in early identification of psychiatric and personality disorders and for passive monitoring of mental health through voice and relational communication.
Digital Therapeutics platform designed to support clinical and therapeutic pathways in psychiatric and psychological fields, in integration with MindWise.
